Welcome to Weißenfels

Your Dentist in Weißenfels – a warm welcome to Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner

Finding a dentist you trust is a very personal decision. Anyone living or working in Weißenfels who is looking for a practice – whether after moving, switching practices, or simply because their last visit was a while ago – wants to be in good hands, feel understood, and have a reliable point of contact nearby. That is exactly what we are here for: the Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. med. dent. M.Sc. Sandro Strößner is your dental practice right in the centre of Weißenfels, at Leopold-Kell-Straße 25. We warmly welcome new patients of all ages.

It matters to us that you feel well looked after from the very first minute. A dental practice should not be a place to be afraid of, but a familiar place where you can talk openly about your concerns. That is why we take the time – for your questions, for clear explanations, and for care that responds to your personal situation. Whether it is a routine check-up, a specific complaint, or the wish for a thorough consultation: with us, you are at the centre of attention as a person, not just your teeth.

A Practice for the Whole Family

As a general dental practice, we care for patients at every stage of life – from a child's first tooth, through adults in the midst of their working lives, to older patients who value considerate, sensitive care. Many families in Weißenfels appreciate knowing that several generations are cared for at one practice. This creates familiarity and makes everyday organisation easier when appointments for the whole family can be arranged in one place.

Weißenfels and the surrounding towns in the Burgenlandkreis are our home. We know the region, its people and its rhythm. For us, this local connection is more than just a location on the map – it is the foundation of care built on continuity and personal relationships. Once you are a patient with us, you should be able to come back without having to explain your situation from scratch each time.

  • A general dental practice in the heart of Weißenfels, Leopold-Kell-Straße 25
  • Care for patients of every age – from children to older adults
  • New patients are warmly welcome
  • Personal, empathetic care with time for your concerns
  • A strong bond with Weißenfels and the Burgenlandkreis

The entire range under one roof

Our range of services – general dentistry and special focus areas

A good local dental practice covers the main areas of dentistry, so that you do not have to travel far for most needs. At the Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner, you will find the full range of general dentistry – complemented by specialist areas that are not always brought together under one roof at other practices. This means that, in many cases, we can look after you continuously, from prevention through to more demanding treatments.

Regular preventive care and general dentistry form the foundation of our work. This includes check-ups, professional dental cleaning, treating decay with modern fillings, and treating gum disease. These everyday services are the backbone of stable oral health and stay with you over the years.

General Dentistry and Prevention

We place particular emphasis on prevention, as regular check-ups can help detect many problems at an early stage. During the examination, we look not only at the teeth but also at the gums, the oral mucosa and the entire mouth. If irregularities are noticed early, they can generally be treated more gently and straightforwardly than if you only react once pain sets in.

Our Practice's Focus Areas

Beyond basic care, we focus on several specialist areas. These include implantology – replacing missing teeth with artificial roots – as well as dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges and dentures. Another area is the treatment of anxious patients, whom we approach with particular calm and empathy. Aesthetic dentistry and root canal treatment are also among our fields of work. We always clarify which treatment is right for you individually and after a thorough examination.

  • Preventive care and check-ups for the whole family
  • Professional Dental Cleaning and Prophylaxis
  • Tooth Preservation – Modern Fillings and Caries Treatment
  • Treatment of Gum Disease
  • Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics)
  • Dental Restorations: Crowns, Bridges and Dentures
  • Implantology – a fixed replacement for missing teeth
  • Empathetic Care for Anxious Patients
  • Aesthetic Dentistry for a Well-Groomed Smile

Should further treatment ever make sense for a very specific concern, we discuss this openly with you and agree on the next steps together. Our goal is to open up as many paths as possible for you within our practice, without referring you unnecessarily to different places.

For New Patients

What to expect as a new patient with us

For many people, the first visit to a new dental practice comes with a certain amount of uncertainty. How does it work? What should I pay attention to? What do I need to bring? We would like to take away this uncertainty and describe here how a first appointment at the Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner generally proceeds. This way, you already know in advance what to expect, and can come to us feeling relaxed.

As a general rule: allow a little extra time for your first appointment. At this first visit, we get to know one another, take your medical history, and build up a comprehensive picture of your oral health. This foundation is important so that we can look after you well in future, in a way that is tailored to your situation. It is therefore worth not squeezing this first appointment in between two other commitments.

How your first appointment works

  1. Checking in and registration: our team welcomes you at reception. Please bring your insurance card with you; patients with statutory health insurance need to present it once per quarter. If you have them, a dental bonus booklet (Bonusheft), an allergy card and a medication plan are also helpful.
  2. Medical history – your health background: through a conversation or a questionnaire, we record your general health, any existing conditions, allergies and medications. This information is important, so that we can plan every treatment safely and in a way tailored to you.
  3. Thorough examination: we carefully examine your teeth, gums and the entire mouth. Where needed, and after explaining why, X-rays may be useful to assess areas that are not visible to the naked eye.
  4. Discussing the findings: We then go through what we've found together. We explain the condition of your teeth in an understandable way and answer your questions without overwhelming you with technical terms.
  5. Treatment plan and consultation: if treatment makes sense, we explain the options and agree the next steps with you. We also inform you transparently about the expected costs and reimbursement by your health insurer.
  6. Next steps: To finish, we arrange – if necessary – the next appointments and answer any outstanding questions. You leave the practice with a clear picture of how things will proceed.

If you have previously been cared for at another practice, it is helpful to bring along any earlier findings or X-rays, if you have them. This can spare you unnecessary repeat examinations and gives us a more complete picture. However, you do not have to arrange this yourself – simply talk to us, and we will find a practical solution together.

If you're one of the people who approach a dental visit with tension or anxiety, feel free to let us know when booking your appointment. We take such concerns seriously and tailor the process, the pace and our explanations so that you feel as comfortable as possible.

Easy to reach in Weißenfels

Directions, accessibility and parking – how to find us

A dental practice should be easy to reach – after all, no one wants to search for ages or make an awkward journey before their appointment. The Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner is located at Leopold-Kell-Straße 25, 06667 Weißenfels, and is easy to reach by car, on foot, or by public transport. We deliberately chose our location so that patients from Weißenfels and the surrounding area can find their way to us without difficulty.

By Car

If you are travelling by car, you can reach us comfortably via Weißenfels' local roads. Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the practice, so you can usually leave your vehicle nearby. As the parking situation can vary depending on the time of day, it is a good idea to allow a few minutes' buffer at busy times. If you have any questions about the journey or about parking in the immediate area, we are happy to help over the phone.

On foot and by public transport

For many residents of Weißenfels, the practice is conveniently reached on foot or by bicycle – an advantage of its central, everyday location. Anyone who relies on public transport can also reach us easily. If you are unsure which route is most practical for you, simply give us a call; we are happy to describe the best way to reach us from where you live.

Low-Barrier Access

It matters to us that as many patients as possible can reach our practice easily – including people with limited mobility, older patients, and families with pushchairs. If you have particular needs regarding the journey or access, please let us know in advance. This allows us to make your visit as pleasant as possible and to adapt to your situation.

Appointments and Opening Hours

Opening hours, appointment scheduling and a reliable recall system

An appointment that is easy to plan around is the basis for making prevention and treatment fit reliably into everyday life. At the Zahnkompetenzzentrum Dr. Strößner, we work with a scheduling system designed to keep waiting times as short as possible and to give you the time you need. We therefore ask you to book an appointment before your visit – this allows us to organise the process well, for you and for all our other patients.

Book an Appointment

The easiest way to reach us is by telephone on 03443 339 65 54. Our team will discuss your concern with you and find a suitable appointment that fits your daily routine. When booking, feel free to let us know what it is about – for example a check-up, a professional dental cleaning, or specific symptoms. This allows us to schedule enough time for you from the outset.

If you are ever unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please let us know in good time. This allows us to offer the freed-up slot to other patients who are, in turn, waiting for an appointment. A brief cancellation helps keep the practice running smoothly for everyone.

The Recall System for Your Preventive Care

To make sure regular preventive care does not get lost in everyday life, we use a recall system. This means that, once the agreed interval until your next check-up or dental cleaning is reached, we actively remind you of your next appointment. This means you do not have to remember yourself when the next preventive visit is due, and regular visits remain reliably part of your health routine.

It is precisely this continuity that can contribute to stable oral health in the long term. Coming for regular check-ups gives us the chance to notice changes early and respond to them together with you. Our recall system is our way of making this regularity as convenient as possible for you.

Patients with statutory insurance, private insurance and emergencies

Patients with statutory and private insurance, emergencies and handling urgent complaints

Patients with both statutory and private health insurance are warmly welcome at our practice. Regardless of the type of insurance you have, you receive attentive, respectful care from us. Your insurance determines certain billing arrangements and reimbursements, but not the care and attention with which we treat you.

Patients with statutory health insurance

As a patient with statutory health insurance, you are entitled to the services of standard care. Beyond this, there are services that go beyond the scope of statutory cover – for example, certain higher-quality materials or additional preventive options. If such options are relevant for you, we will explain the difference clearly, and you can decide in your own time what is right for you. Choosing one of these options is never a condition for good care.

Privately Insured Patients

We advise privately insured patients and those with supplementary dental insurance individually on treatment options and the relevant billing arrangements. Before more extensive treatments, we prepare a clear, itemised statement for you, which you can, if needed, discuss with your insurer. This way, you always have a clear basis for your decisions.

Dental Emergencies

Acute toothache, a broken tooth corner or swelling usually happen at the most inconvenient moment. If you are a patient of our practice and would like to come to us with acute symptoms, please call us during our opening hours – we do our best to fit urgent cases in as promptly as possible. Briefly describe your symptoms to the team over the phone, so that we can assess how urgent it is.

Outside our opening hours – that is, at weekends, on public holidays and at night – the emergency dental service is the right point of contact. It is organised regionally and is responsible for treating acute cases outside normal opening hours. In a life-threatening emergency, such as a severe allergic reaction or significant swelling with breathing difficulties, please call the emergency number 112 without delay.

  • Patients with statutory and private health insurance equally welcome
  • Clear information about standard care and further options
  • A transparent breakdown before more extensive treatments
  • For acute symptoms during opening hours: please call ahead
  • Outside opening hours: emergency dental service; call 112 for life-threatening emergencies

Costs and Insurance

Costs, reimbursement and transparent advice

The question of cost concerns many patients – and rightly so, because dental treatment should remain plannable and easy to follow. We place great importance on informing you openly and clearly about the costs you can expect before more extensive treatment begins. No one should be caught out by a bill. Which services your health insurer or insurance covers depends on the type of treatment and your insurance status.

The cost of dental treatment depends on the type and scope of the service and is billed for patients with statutory health insurance under the Assessment Scale for Dental Services (BEMA), or, for individual and private dental services, under the German Dental Fee Schedule (GOZ). Standard care services are covered by the statutory health insurer; for further treatment, such as certain types of dental prosthetics, an out-of-pocket share often applies. This is where the dental bonus booklet (Bonusheft) comes in: anyone who has their annual check-ups documented without gaps can receive an increased fixed subsidy for dental prosthetics. Privately insured patients and those with supplementary dental insurance are reimbursed in full or in part depending on their policy. For more extensive treatment, we prepare a treatment and cost plan for you in advance, which you can discuss with your health insurer. We recommend clarifying reimbursement questions in good time before treatment begins.

The Treatment and Cost Plan

For larger undertakings – such as dental prosthetics or more extensive restorations – we draw up a treatment and cost plan for you. This sets out which treatment is planned and what costs to expect. You submit the plan to your statutory health insurer, which approves the fixed subsidy, or to your private insurer. This way, you know before treatment begins what share you will need to cover, and you can decide calmly.

We take the time to answer your questions

If you have any questions about billing, subsidies or reimbursement, please feel free to talk to us. Our team explains the individual items clearly and helps you keep track of everything. For us, transparent information about costs is naturally part of good care – trust also comes from knowing that there are no hidden surprises.

Local Dentist

Local roots – your dental practice in the heart of Weißenfels

Weißenfels is more than just the location of our practice – it is the town where we are rooted and whose people we want to be there for. Having a dental practice nearby means short distances, familiar faces, and a point of contact close by when you need one. This closeness is no accident for us, but a deliberate part of how we see ourselves as a general dental practice serving the region.

We care for patients from Weißenfels itself, as well as from the surrounding towns in the Burgenlandkreis. We accompany many of them over years, which builds a familiar relationship: we know each other, we know each individual's history, and this is exactly what continuous care means. Anyone who has ever changed practice knows how valuable it is not to have to start from scratch every time.

Continuity and Trust

Continuity plays a particularly important role in dentistry. When we follow your oral health over the years, we can better assess changes and make the right decisions together with you. In our view, a trusting, long-term relationship between practice and patient is one of the most important foundations for good dental care – and it is exactly this relationship that we would like to offer you locally in Weißenfels.
